Product Description
Lead-acid batteries consist of lead plates immersed in an electrolyte solution of sulfuric acid. During discharge, the lead plates react with the sulfuric acid to produce lead sulphate and release electrons, which generate electrical energy. When the battery is recharged, the process is reversed, converting the lead sulphate back into lead and sulfuric acid.
It is important to note that lead-acid batteries require regular maintenance, including checking the electrolyte levels and ensuring proper charging to prevent sulfation, which can reduce the battery’s performance and lifespan.
